Soul Corrosion TYPE A
The Soul Corrosion Type A is known as the splitting of ones soul into two entities that continue to live in one body. This occured quite a lot in the Collapse. Many Souls were torn apart and forced into one body. It's a condition that can rarely be treated.
Symptoms
Midrill that suffer from Corrosion Type A have two souls in one body. It could be seen as shizophrenia. Though unlike the mental illness in this case it is quite actually two people living in one body. Having to fight for dominance over the body. In some cases that is easily done, in others the souls are unbalanced and can force the other to retreat.
Treatment
It can rarely be treated as it would require one of the souls to be weakerminded. If that is the case though, a Spiritualist can remove the second soul and return the body to it's rightful owner. Though that means the death of the other soul.
Soul Syndrome TYPE B
This is a very rare form of the Soul Syndrome. It happened that some souls split into two whole entities with their own body. While this seems like a good turn of events, it does take it's toll and both parties.
Symptoms
Due to the loss of half of ones soul it happens that some Demons and some Midrill no longer are able to express certain emotions. They can simulate them though never experience of feel them for themselves. For an excample if a Demon feels Anger the Midrill half of him will never feel anger. Annoyance, irritation perhaps. But never anger, as that emotion has been removed from their soul.
Treatment
There is no known treatment to this type of Soul Syndrome.
Soul Corrosion TYPE C
Soul Corrosion Type C is known to be the most dreadful one. As it quite literally kills the Midrill by fully corroding it's soul. Thus creating a Corroded, an undead Midrill that is nothing like the original.
Symptoms
The Corroded will be able to display all sort of emotions without trouble. While some negative ones like anger, jealousy or greed might be a lot stronger and cause the demon to act rather rash compared to a normal Midrill.
Treatment
There is no known treatment to this type of Soul Syndrome.
Corruptional Decay
The revival of a corpse using black magic automatically causes their body to produce the tar like decay. Said Decay spreads throughout the whole body until the infected blood is completely black. Resulting in a heart failure if not treated quick enough. In most cases those who have passed away due to the corruptional decay, were "reborn" as Corroded.
Transmission
The Corruptional Decay can be transmitted by blood and by revival through black magic. As that is against the rules of Nature itself and some believe the corruptional decay is a punishment from God himself.
Symptoms
The first Symptoms are at first simpler things, foul smelling blood, quick exhaustion and sometimes dizziness. Though it slowly grows worse and turns into nausea and a sick feeling. Slowly open wounds will appear all over the body. Oozing with a sticky tar like black substance, which is believed to be infected blood that the body tries to get rid of desperatly. If it is still not treated the corruptional decay will attack senses as well. Taking your hearing, touch, smell and eyesight. Until all senses are disabled and the infected can no longer be saved from death.
Treatment
To rid oneself of the Corruptional Decay one must make a gruesome sacrifice. To cleanse the soul of the decay, blood from a close family member must be poured into already opened wounds (if no wound has opened yet it must be consumed). Unfortuneatly to completely cleanse the soul from the decay a lot of blood must be used. Which in most attempts caused the death of the other. It's a cruel sacrifice to make, which is why the corruptional decay is one of the most feared illnesses known to Midrill. With holy artifacts the process can be slowed down, thought it can't be completely stopped.
Prevention
To prevent a spread of the corruptional decay it must be avoided and not to be touched. If it enters ones blood stream it's already to late, the decay quickly takes over and starts infecting the new body. Something that prevents the decays spread shortly after entereing the bloodstream is holy water from sacred springs. At this stage the little decay can be killed with enough consumed holy water.
